HTML/CSS - 3 Years

I have solid skills in HTML and CSS, allowing me to create well-structured, visually appealing, and responsive web pages. I use semantic HTML for accessible markup and advanced CSS techniques like Flexbox and Grid for complex layouts. Additionally, I ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize performance, often using preprocessors like SASS or frameworks like tailwind to streamline development.

C# - 2 Years

With two years of C# experience, I implemented various Blazor Server applications for department and company-wide customers, developed an API-like application with Azure Functions for a private project, and created multiple utility console applications as development tools.

Python - 2 Years

With two years of Python experience, I reworked and modernized the R&S®Browser in the Box UI using QT and the Windows API. I implemented a data cockpit dashboard with Streamlit to visualize and analyze the status of data acquisition and the health of the data, using pandas to transform data for the cockpit. I also implemented neurons for a shallow neural network in a course from Andrew Ng and created custom ETL pipelines for data management, alongside developing Django web apps.

System Integration

System Administration - 2 Years

With two years of system integration experience, I set up Nominatim for department internal usage, Anki Server for evaluating a solution idea, and Penpot for my team to mock up webpages, all using Proxmox.

Homelab - 1 Year

I maintain a home lab featuring DNS filtering and a DMZ for Minecraft hosting, which my friends access via Tailscale and my own Headscale instance. It includes offsite encrypted backups, monitoring through InfluxDB, Loki, Grafana, and Arpwatch, and alerting via Grafana OnCall. The lab also hosts an Overleaf instance, GitLab, a Zotero data server, and a site-to-site VPN to my VPS, with protection provided by CrowdSec. But that's not all and my home lab continues to evolve with new projects and technologies to enhance its capabilities.

Data Stack

Databases - 3 Years

Evaluating the business use case of MongoDB, I monitored hardware and various (virtual) servers and applications by storing metrics sent by Telegraf in InfluxDB and displaying them with Grafana. I restructured the Microsoft SQL Server for a Big Data use case to optimize processes and storage, and managed data for multiple web applications. Additionally, I managed data for web applications using PostgreSQL.

About Me

During my first year of apprenticeship at Rohde & Schwarz, I faced the challenge of integrating into a highly diverse team with varying levels of prior knowledge. Navigating through these differences proved instrumental in sharpen my ability to understand how individuals respond in hierarchical dynamics. This experience equipped me with the skills to bridge gaps and foster cohesive teamwork.

In my second year, I undertook a role in the 'Ausbildung' department, where I led a team of Dual-Studies to develop a web application. This opportunity allowed me to gain substantial leadership and project management experience. Successfully implementing agile methodologies, I cultivated a harmonious team that thrived under my guidance, resulting in the project's triumph.

During my subsequent departmental deployment at Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity, I embraced the remote work concept, delving into its advantages and challenges. This experience afforded me a nuanced perspective on the often-debated topic of remote work.

During my third departmental deployment, which transitioned into full-time employment, I have worked almost entirely independently, delivering substantial value to my department. This autonomy has allowed me to establish myself as an indispensable asset, a sentiment echoed by my previous supervisors. One notable project I led involved restructuring a disorganized data landscape. As the sole developer on this topic, I identified key pain points, designed a new solution, migrated the existing data, and resolved inconsistencies. I reduced the database size by 90% and cut processing times from weeks to days.
